Meatmother is a fearsome-sounding name, like it belongs to a hardcore metal band. But in fact it is the name of a carnivores delight of a restaurant on Swan Street in Richmond. Meatmother has a host of excellent reviews and high scores on the various food websites and is especially a hit with the regulars heading to and from the MCG.
The refined fit-out is cool and clever, with the bar and an assorted seating area downstairs with benched footpath trading to the front of the venue. The good sized, fully equipped commercial kitchen is to the rear of the venue downstairs. Upstairs there are treetop views from the second storey seating.
Meatmother has an on premises licence until 11pm with restaurant conditions and a capacity of 50 inside. There are seven years left on the lease made up of 2+5 and another term negotiable upon transfer. Rent including GST comes in at only $1350 a week. There is an extensive list of fixtures and fittings included in the sale.
The venue is run under management at the moment but really suits an owner operator that can capitalise on the great location and fit out. The owner has the sister venue Metmaiden in the CBD that he wishes to concentrate on and so is looking for offers in the region of $150,000 for this exclusively listed venue.
