Collingwood’s Peel Street is iconic for at least a few reasons, and one of those is its loved and longstanding hospitality offering. And now, thanks to the team behind The Grace Darling, a very familiar space has been reimagined into a late-night pizza joint known as Massie's. 

Massie’s has perhaps the largest amount of footpath trading in the area allowing twenty six seats outside, great for those Summer evenings. Heading in through the large double doors you can see that the recent rebuild has created an outstanding venue.  Stain glass windows , chandeliers, wood panelling, exposed brick work and very comfortable seating is throughout with an open log fire at of the bar.  Straight in front of you is the long and well equipped bar with bar seating and seating for couples around the bar.  Past the bar on the left, step down in to the main dining room with its long tables, benched seating and large open fire.  From here you look directly in to the kitchen at the pizza preparation area.   And behind this is a fully equipped large commercial kitchen.  

To the right of the bar past the fire place head in to the private dining room.  From there is the long high corridor that sees up through the middle of the entire building , out past the toilets and to the external area with a cool room in a shipping container.  

Massie’s has an On Premises licence until 1am with a large capacity of 240.  Rent is $2750 a week including GST.  There are fourteen years left on the lease made up of 4+5+5.  The venue is in excellent condition with an extensive fixture and fittings.  There are no equipment or supplier contracts in place. 

What the vendors have created is excellent but there is more.  Planning approval has been given to extend the venue to the whole of the top floor.  Work has been started but the vendor ran out of steam.  Hence the reason for sale.  They want to concentrate on the Grace Darling.  Massie’s suits an experienced owner operator or perhaps a group looking to expand or maintain the great business already established and then possibly complete the second floor and move the venue on to the next level.  The venue is being sold walk in walk out with no books.  The vendors realise that they will not recover all the investment that they have put in to the venue and so are realistic asking for offers of $145,000 for this exclusively listed venue.
