Son Of Pizzaiolo has hundreds of positive reviews and is a great place for all the locals but also boasts many customers from the local surrounds.  It sits in an exceptional pocket of Thornbury that is continuing to grow in popularity.  The colourful mural that greets you as you find yourself at the venue is an institution in itself!

Being a corner block, the venue has a considerable amount of out door dining space on both sides, a total capacity of 66 seats outside.   The atmosphere on a warm night with all the tables full is excellent. Inside there is one main dining area.  This leads on to the bar and the wood fired pizza oven.  The latter having a very clever rotating stone inside to evenly cook the pizzas and make it easy to get hold of them.  To the rear of the venue is a small but fully equipped commercial kitchen.  This leads to a large covered outside storage area with two cool rooms. A beautifully wallpapered stairway leads to an upstairs area featuring two more dining rooms,  a smaller light filled room at the back which is already in use for functions and a larger dining room requiring refurbishment with  its own bar and toilets.
